Abstract
This paper reviews the background to the recent changes in the U.K. transport policy emanating from the publication and passage of a Transport Bill in December 1999 (HOC 1999). After the review, some of the Transport Bill's key proposals, such as public transport policy and privatization, are discussed in detail.
