Abstract
This paper addresses the subject of perception-reaction time related to the search for information and encourages the modification of formulas on intersection sight distance contained in 'A Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets (Green Book).' The paper also suggests that an intersection geometry-based traffic signal warrant and activated train warning signal warrant be considered for adoption into the relevant standards.
