Abstract
Studies that were conducted to locate garages for other operators using a steadfast criteria for bus garage capacity of 250 vechicles regardless of the location are described. The use of 250 vehicles as a fixed size is justified by purporting 250 vehicles as a tested industry standard. The optimization described provides one example of a methodology that may be used to individually treat unique transit systems.
