Abstract
The latest edition of Research Pays Off explores ways to address unknown transit wait times through the application of technology enhancements. This Research Pays Off explores one software, OneBusAway, which was developed in 2008 at the University of Washington. OneBusAway is an open-source system that allows developers, researchers, and transit agencies to adapt the code to their own systems and to build on the initial implementation.
